OneBookShelf announces today that digital versions of the newly released Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition roleplaying game books and supplements are officially available for download from DriveThruRPG and RPGNow.
“We recognize that a significant number of D&D® players use digital versions of our D&D titles, so we want to make the titles available in this format,” said Scott Rouse, Sr. Brand Manager for Dungeons & Dragons.
The downloads will use a DRM-free, watermarked PDF format and both DriveThruRPG and RPGNow will price the titles about 30% less than printed copy price (emphasis added). The three core rulebooks – Player’s Handbook®, Dungeon Master’s Guide®, and Monster Manual® - are available now at www.DriveThruRPG.com and www.RPGNow.com. The adventure H1 Keep on the Shadowfell will be available later this week. Forthcoming D&D 4th Edition titles will also be released.
"Since we began, we have been dedicated to making all roleplaying games, past, present and future available to RPG fans 24/7 worldwide at a click,” said Steve Wieck of DriveThruRPG. “Just as we have worked with Wizards to offer all past editions of D&D, we are delighted to be involved in making the future of D&D available to gaming fans.”
