Steal This Hook! Threads That Connect
This month's Steal This Hook leaves the familiar grounds of the Nentir Vale from the H module series to the Forgotten Realms.
The article introduces 3 arcs for the Scepter Tower of Spellgard module. Each with their own respective hooks and story elements to expand the arcs into a side trek or even a full adventure.
Each of these arcs can be incorporated to add a story element for pushing any 1st level characters to 2nd level before they reach the tower instead of using the module's method of using random monster encounters.
The third arc that involves an artifact is a good idea to make way for the module to turn into a full blow campaign after the players are done with it.
None of the ideas presented here are setting specific so it can still be used in generic settings.
