Wizard's Employee Shoots Wife and Kills Self

Xbox Developer Dead in Murder-Suicide

Although we love to play a game and have a hobby that immerses us in the realm of fantasy and fiction, it is important sometimes that we still remember the real people behind them.

Just when I woke up this morning, I was shocked to read this piece of news that has been circulating around some RPG blogs. The tradegy and the irony of them being employees of two gaming-related companies aside, apparently the man happens to be a senior manager for digital products for WoTC. Although this going to cause a few setbacks to Wizard's Digital Initiative, it is still a mournful tragedy to lose a member of your staff.

With the anoucement of Gleemax's closure in the coming month, this is a chain of events that has a chilling coincidence of timing.

My condolences to the close families and relatives affected by this tragic event, to Microsoft and to Wizards of the Coast.

What a great point. Thanks for passing along the information in such a respectful way. I live in a bubble hadn't actually heard about it.
